Re: Help required for the new BBC games archive

Just a note for Lee really ...

I can confirm that Guardian of Doomsday and Bridge to the East (which are currently listed as 'Awaiting Categorisation') were commercial releases, as I owned the original cassettes.

Re: search and alternative versions

Hi all, I completely understand the reasons for ditching the Post-2000 release category but it would be really good if there was still a clearly-visible way to display the newer games with a single click/press (persuading folk to even try 'modern' retro games can be such a challenge, so the more acc...

Hi, thanks for the interest, would be good to see you at Manchester, we're always looking to welcome new faces to the ABug meets In terms of the NuLA upgrade, unfortunately the creator (RobC) isn't able to attend this one, so I suspect you'd need to acquire one in advance directly from Rob. However ...

IIRC that looks like the built-in MENU function on the ADT rom, which you'd normally call with a *MENU command ...

Has your Model B got ADT installed? If so, try unplugging it ... !

Re: Unused Citadel bits

This is a fascinating thread - if there's a chance of a 16-colour adaption for NuLA that would be cracking.

Likewise - an Elk version that blanked off the garbage at the top/bottom of the screen would be very much welcome too. Is that a possibility?

Also Colin if you could produce a 320k .adf version - with files in the correct order and a title of "White Light v1.0" I'd happily upload an ADF copy (please ensure all files are locked except HI as per the DFS ver). Also do you know if it's possible to set the access counter to 00 on ADF...

Thanks Nigel and Colin, the site's currently hosting Nigel's version.

Colin does the image you produced have quicker loading than the one that's currently up there? If so could you expand it to make it a full 200k?

Hi, yeah as per the Compatibility info on the Retro Software site, only loading from floppy is officially supported, though we've had it loading from USB stick with Datacentre on a BBC B/Master. We've had it running on a BBC Master with CF Flash ADFS and possibly an MMC device on a BBC Master too, b...

Re: Clwyd Technics Colour Palette enhancer

Fascinating, and even cooler that it was produced by Clwyd Technics who used to repair our Beeb in the 80s when it misbehaved. Impressive how early on in the Beeb's life cycle it appeared. Pity it wasn't more widely known of.

Anyway thanks for posting the vid Rob!
