Re: Missing game on Ebay. Did anyone get it?

No link in your post but I assume you're referring to Aces High?

Not sure if it's been picked up by bbcmicro.co.uk yet but a download is available on Every Game Going:

Re: What has been happening?

Well, I'm able to arrange hosting for any additional archives on the same server as the bbcmicro.co.uk site ... In terms of domains, for the Atom archive we could use acornatom.co.uk (currently hosts Atomulator but that could be moved to atomulator.acornatom.co.uk, which would be in keeping with the...

Re: Beebug games tapes

No Rat Splat on the tape I have to hand, so you can assume that my old copy (which DaveE now has) is the same as this one. So there must have been two issues of 'Games 3' ... I'm guessing you saw the recent ebay auction that contained a 'Games 3' tape with Rat Splat mentioned on the label as the thi...

Re: Beebug games tapes

:?: But, all the games Lee mentioned* are available as UEF files via the link I provided? * = except Rat Splat; not sure why I would have neglected to dump this, assuming it was actually contained on my copy of the Shape Match/Mind Bender tape. I think I happened to acquire another copy of this rece...

Re: Beebug games tapes

I used to have a number of these tapes (including Astro Tracker, Cylon Attack, Magic Eel, Mindbender/Shapematch and Starfire ... though I didn't have the Moonlander cassette). My entire collection of BBC tapes are now with DaveE of course - but I did archive them as UEF tape images; all have been av...

You know I'm surprised that's survived the various forum upgrades/reinstallations over the years (to be honest I'd forgot it was even there). Daniel as you've managed to locate the swear filter feel free to remove said entry!!

I have a pack of these too (I thought they might have been the only surviving pack until I saw your pic!).

Re: ADFS 1.30 disassembly

No, that's a Cumana interface*, which uses its own proprietary DFS.

* = it's possible that the Eprom could have been switched with the SEDFS that was available from Slogger, which would in turn convert the interface into an Acorn-compatible DFS.

Re: Stardot merchandise?

P.S. Simon, re: t-shirt suppliers, would be worth finding out if the stardot logo can be screenprinted (min order quantity likely to be required e.g. 25) or applied from cut vinyls. As a regular iron-on transfer with a rectangular/square black background may look a bit naff!

Re: The Cambridge ABug software hacking/archiving thread

You need to use an unlocker in conjunction with the Disc Doctor *TAPEDISC command. Better off using *XFER TAPE DISC with ADT (the later the version the better) which can cope with Locked files.

Re: Being silly with floppy discs

Have you tried?:
*FORMAT 0 M
or
*FORMAT 0 L
?

I've a feeling *AFORM was to force the formatting util on the PRES ADT Rom to be called, but if you haven't got ADT installed inside your compact then it (obviously) wouldn't recognise the command.

Re: BASIC Space Invaders

This was very popular at Saturday's Wakefield RISC OS show - however there's a graphical glitch to report (see vid): https://www.youtube.com/v/5Z3guU4MS7M&fmt=22 Disabling the MMC rom on sydney's Model B fixed the problem. My BBC Master with internal datacentre ran the game from RAMFS no problem...
