Micropower's Adventure. Could never get very far and always got lost in the forest. I've never seen a walkthrough for that.

Re: Melbourne House's Lord of the Rings Adventure

Thanks, I might try this at some point although it'll be on PC having waited this long! AJW, do you mean the DOS version? Or do you mean with a beeb emulator? I'd certainly recommend the latter - it's very handy to be able to go back to a previous save state when things don't work out as you need t...

AJW, You might be interested in this recent post to the BBC Micro Mailing List. Kieran has created universal disc versions of both The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings: Game One which will work on pretty much any beeb with Sideways RAM. He's even hacked in location graphics to the latter, which was ori...

Hmm ... we definitely don't want this content disappearing. I think it's been a great bit of detective work by AJW. If drobe doesn't come back up soon, AJW, do you want to drop me an email and we'll make sure it all gets back online where it belongs? Sam. If you want to mirror the site then let me ...

Re: ACORN WORLD @ Retro Reunited/12-13 Sep/Hudd'field

From the Acorn World newspage: Matthew Atkinson has been confirmed as the first Guest at Acorn World 2009 . Matthew is best known for writing the BBC Micro and Electron versions of REPTON 3 and also ULTRA INTELLIGENT MACHINE for the BBC Micro and Archimedes. Can somebody ask him what the ending to ...

So this guy has bought Zap for all of 2 weeks and now wants to sell his whole collection of 8-bit hardware and software? That's hardly an endorsement.

Finally getting round to trying each game on this series. DaveM - I believe you're missing TD8? Also, SportsSpectacular is listed as disk but is only available as a tape image. Re: ACORN WORLD @ Retro Reunited/12-13 Sep/Hudd'field

I didn't realise this was a general retrogaming convention, I thought it was Acorn only. The floor plan I looked at seemed as though it was just Acorn-related. It might be feasible getting the train up and down in the same day - could anybody confirm thsi is the same Cedar Court used for the RISC OS...

Re: Repton levels?

Good idea Michael. That's going to be a really useful resource when people want to find a level to play or if they like one so much but its not completable they can check.

Don't forget to have a look at the Darren Salt levels.

Then don't you just:

- create the levels
- delete the standard game levels in the Repton 3 disk image
- copy into the disk image your own levels with the same filename

Like this: BarbarianBBCMicroEndScreen.png I've blanked out the competition code for anyone who wants to play it through themselves. The message isn't quite as suggestive as the C64 version, but it's the Spectrum final graphics which are ... *tssst* ... hot! =D> Sam. That's still pretty good, thank ...
