Re: Today I received.....

A good day today! Now all I need is an original BCPL Rom to complete the set up. 6134FA0B-0109-4421-8431-6B44392D1606.jpeg Looks good. I hope your copy of the user guide is in better condition than mine. I did scan mine and it is available at 8bs (http://8bs.com/othrdnld/manuals/applications.shtml)...

On a slightly related note I have one of these for my iPod dock:- 408E84DE-9711-4992-B204-944514609345.jpeg I enjoy watching the valves warm up and glow and the one at the back changing based on the music going through it. The more recent version of mine is shown in Martin’s link by the looks of it.

To be fair to some sellers I’m sure some don’t know how to test these - attic finds and people selling their parents stuff etc. You can often tell from their feedback and other items for sale - if there is no other retro stuff for sale or no retro stuff feedback there is a chance they are genuine. I have wondered a number of times recently what will happen to my collection when I no longer go brrr-beeep in the morning? Any chance of a version of Twin Kingdom Valley that saves to disc on the Master? I haven't looked into it, but if TKV overwrites vectors in page &0D , then the game will probably need some fairly serious hacking to get it to save to any filesystem other than tape, even on a Master. :( Not to wo...

The screen colours depend on whether you have docking computers fitted or something similar? Am pretty sure its down to equipment options. Edit - escape pod I think. If you start a new game with a new commander it should be yellow / green. Not really sure about the ‘attract’ screens. Maybe it random...

Funny you mention this. I just plugged it into the line-in on my PC and played it out of those speakers. Worked fine - it doesn't, however, suppress the internal speaker. :( d. Hmm. I guess its pretty easy to unplug the internal speaker on the Master so providing I always use speakers all should be...
