Re: DIY cheap pitubedirect signal converter building

oke easy to change if they are not soldered :) pulling 74hc out the 74lvc in. it is not that difficult :) and the beeb cost more :) You should reconsider using 74HC series in this application. I think you're powering them off 3.3v and they have input protection diodes to clamp high and low voltages....

Re: DIY cheap pitubedirect signal converter building

still playing the dutch man :)

found out that the cheaper SN74HC245N works as good as the expensive SN74LVC245AN

SN74hc245n=0.11 euro ... SN74lvc245an=0.70 euro :D

edit don't know about the speed #-o , sn74hc245n in datasheet slower , if i read well

why don't you put the rom in a beeb ? then read all bytes from rom in ram. and so on

the rom will not run hopefully in the beeb :) , but you can read the bytes :)

yeah all the 100nf caps are used :) , so 100nf is standaard no calculation for it. if i read it good it is for the dip on the power line of the ic ? or peak ? but the range of the ic power line is that not big enough to work ? (74xxx from 4.5 till 6 volt or so) it is not for the other lines ( under ...

Re: Don't have a desolder station or hot air gun!

the point is it is still the heat not the light that makes de solder weak.

so because the light/heat ratio is so poor , you can desolder.

heat is heat !!! so it is not the uv wavelength that melts the solder , but the production of heat by the uv light. i think any other bolt will do then 100 w ? is it the heat from the lamp or the light (wavelength) ? if heat what i think then a hot air gun is beter .
